Projects in the Sherer lab will include at least some of the following:

Design and carry out a unique mentored research project

Learn how to grow human cells in culture and use them to propagate viruses

Study specific viral genes and host cellular genes hijacked by HIV using biochemical assays and advanced microscopy approaches including live cell imaging

Learn how to generate effective poster and oral research presentations

Connect with a broad cohort of undergraduate students performing research at UW-Madison and affiliated with the WISCience

 program
