RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY IN HIV-1 RNA (ROHR)
sponsored by The Center for Structural Biology of HIV-1 RNA (CRNA)
Participants for summer 2025 have beed selected. Please check back in fall 2025 for application instructions
ROHR is an opportunity for undergraduate students to join one of the participating laboratories for an 8 to 10-week summer research experience during summer 2025. Applicants will be selected on a competitive basis. Students will be matched with laboratories according to their research interests and their top 3 laboratory choices provided on their application form. Students will most likely be matched with their top choice. Each selected undergraduate will work on projects under the direct supervision of faculty, postdoctoral fellows and/or senior graduate students.
Some of the student activities will include:
attendance at the NIH meeting in June 2025 (paired with a senior lab member)
weekly cohort Zoom meetings, including student presentations with PIs in attendance
any activities that are required by the institutional summer program, if relevant
Living expenses will be provided through funding from the CRNA, an NIH U54 grant, in collaboration with other existing programs at participating institutions.
If selected, additional information including dates, funding, and housing, will be provided once you are matched with your institution.
Any questions can be directed to the ROHR Program Director, Gwen Clacher (gclacher@umich.edu)
